Hi, I’m Jenn!
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist based in Michigan, where I live with my husband, our three kids, and our two dogs—Ellie, a yellow lab (yes, I love the movie Up), and Fenway, a miniature dachshund named after my husband’s favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.
I spent 15 wonderful years in North Carolina, and while I love Michigan, I still miss the southern warmth. I’m happiest near the water—whether I’m swimming, fishing, or just floating on a boat. And I’ll admit it: I don’t think I could survive without chocolate. The Bahamas are my happy place!
My Work
I help women, children, and teenagers who are driven and capable but feel overwhelmed by constant worry or intrusive thoughts. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD, separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder.
I have a special interest in helping people overcome emetophobia (the fear of vomiting)—something that might sound unusual, but I find it deeply rewarding to help clients regain confidence and freedom from fears that control their lives.
What I love most about my work is seeing people reclaim their peace, whether that means finally going to the grocery store without panic, trying new foods like sushi, or cutting down on time spent in rituals or compulsions. Every small victory matters.
Education
I earned my Master’s degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and I’m completing my Ph.D. in Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. Being a psychotherapist is not just a job for me—it’s a calling and a privilege.
Ellie
Therapy Dog, Good Girl
And this is Ellie….
Ellie is my therapy dog—gentle, loving, and incredibly chill. She’s certified through Pet Partners and loves nothing more than lying on the couch with humans and collecting pets and treats. Ellie is in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
If you prefer a dog-free session, you’re welcome to schedule on Wednesdays or Thursdays, or choose telehealth sessions for extra flexibility.
If you’re ready to quiet the noise in your mind and start feeling like yourself again, I’d love to help you get there.
Call today — you don’t have to suffer alone.
